Join this webinar, hosted by Central and South Genomics in conjunction with North East and Yorkshire Genomic Medicine Service, for an overview of non-invasive prenatal diagnosis: refresh your knowledge on the core concepts and find out what’s new.
Non-invasive prenatal diagnosis (NIPD) is a way of diagnosing genetic conditions in a fetus using a sample of blood from a pregnant woman. It can be offered to women whose pregnancy is at risk of a specific monogenic condition, or to determine the sex of the fetus in the context of an X-linked condition. NIPD is available for a variety of conditions on the NHS.
During the webinar we will explore:
- In the laboratory: the core concepts behind NIPD
- Overview of data: uptake of testing
- Clinical referrals: who, how and when to refer
- Latest innovations: what’s new and what’s coming next
This webinar is aimed at NHS professionals and is particularly relevant for midwives, genetic counsellors and anyone working in fetal medicine. Please register using your work email address; we will remove any registrations from a personal email account.
