Carolyn initially trained as a clinical cytogeneticist and has 35 years of NHS diagnostic laboratory experience working in both rare disease and haemato-oncology. Having previously worked in labs in Salisbury and London, she has been in her current lab in Oxford for 19 years. She has undertaken multiple professional roles focussed mainly on quality, training and education, for example, EQA assessor and member of the NQAAP, assessor for the National training scheme, RCPath Examiner and member of various ACGS committees.
