Genomics is a key part of the 10 Year Health Plan, and it’s never been more important for healthcare professionals to be able to talk confidently about genomics and signpost patients to relevant information and services.

The eighth annual #GenomicsConversationWeek takes place from 3 to 7 November 2025, helping healthcare professionals discover more about genomics and what it means for them, their practice and their patients.

This year, the event focuses on creating connections in genomics. Each day is themed, aimed at creating connections across the healthcare community: see which days might be relevant for you below.

Day 1 – Creating knowledge connections

Discovering what genomics is and its relevance in healthcare.

Day 2 – Creating connections with colleagues

Building confidence to be able to talk about genomics and seek support when needed.

Day 3 – Creating connections with patients

Being able to answer questions and signpost to further support.

Day 4 – Creating connections with the genomics community

Building links with genomics advisers and champions, and knowing who to seek out for advice or referrals.

Day 5 – Creating connections with fellow genomics learners

Finding your community of learning and helping grow this community.

You don’t need to know everything about genomics, but having the knowledge and confidence to discuss genomics with your colleagues and patients can make a huge difference – and Genomics Conversation Week is a great place to start.

So join us, and let’s talk genomics.
